simply simplifying...

040910.  I've been looking for ways to simplify my life and save a little money these days.

So this week I turned off my cable television.

It's been 24 hours.

And it's kind of nice having an opportunity to go through my ridiculously large DVD collection and re-watch some of my favorite movies of all time.  (Last night The Apartment.  Tonight, Gladiator.  I have a very eclectic collection.) 

Although ...

I'd feel like I was lying if I didn't admit that I’m bummed I missed Top Chef Masters last night.

And The Office was on tonight.

And Project Runway.

And Glee starts again next week.

And then there’s Big Love.

And True Blood.

And the Biggest Loser, of course.

And the Food Network ... everything except shows starring or including Rachel Ray (who I find to be one of the more annoying people on the planet).

Geez … this might not be as simple as I thought.

I’m going to go check out hulu.com and I’ll get back to you …
